Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering (or other engineering
• qualification) – Essential
• Excel Intermediate to advanced is required.
• All of the Microsoft office applications experience is advantageous.
• Key user of Warehouse Management Systems preferably JDA Dispatcher (Red Prairie, Blue
• Yonder)

Job Related Requirements

• Warehouse & Operational Management experience: > 3 years with demonstrated knowledge of

best practices & legal compliance.

• 3+ Years’ experience in WMS implementations in various industries
• Experience with Red Prairie WMS is a definite bonus.
• 2+ years in system integration projects
• 2 + Years System Experience in the following: –

o Warehouse process analysis

o Warehouse process optimization

o Process gap analysis

o Functional specification documentation

o WMS modification design

o Interface mapping

o Data setup

o Data build and data loading

o System setup

o System and modification testing

o Interface testing

o Training documentation

o User Training

o Trouble shooting and support

• Project Management capabilities
• Report Specification Writing and documentation skills
• Must have experience and knowledge of the Contract Logistics & Distribution industry
• Must have exposure and responsibility for the technology function
• Provided advice and counsel to WMS implementation teams
• Must have exposure to operational performance of the implementation team
• Detail oriented, high work rate & high standard of quality of work.

Warehouse Best Practice: w.r.t. warehousing processes and inventory management, e.g. Lean,

WERC, etc.

Main purpose of the role

Responsible for designing, planning and implementing warehousing and production logistics

solutions, whilst managing stakeholder (internal & external) expectations throughout the solution

design and implementation phase.

• This role directly supports company objectives and contributes to identifying, analyzing &

developing value-adding and robust solutions for current & prospective customers.

• Supporting current implementations of WMS and performing the interactive role between

operations, the customer, and the WMS supplier/ vendor.

• It is vital for the success of this position for the candidate to effectively align customer needs

and solutions, with values, policies and Solutions strategy to directly support sustainable.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To manage, lead and mentor a team of Application engineers throughout the WMS

implementation process including the following activities:

o Assessments of current WMS solutions.

o Liaison with various global IT teams including EDI. IT Solutions and support, Global BCM

application engineering

o Perform warehouse process analysis

o Work with BCM Engineers to implement warehouse process optimization

o Conduct process gap analysis

o Developing and writing functional specification documentation

o WMS modification design

o Interface mapping

o Data setup

o Data build and data loading

o System setup

o System and modification testing

o Interface testing

o Training documentation

o User Training

o Trouble shooting and support

• Implementation s: Implement and/or support initiatives monitor tangible and intangible benefits

of changes

• Risk Management: Apply sound risk management principles to all aspects of projects &

engineering activities to

ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best interest of

business, clients and

staff. Objective of this is also to reduce the time and cost of change / implementations.

• Client Relationship Management: To develop and maintain sound client relationships based on

competence,

respect and trust, and to l eve rage this in support of 1) strategic positioning of the client with o

the business units

and 2) account retention and organic growth.

• Support current instances of WMS implementations
• Financial: Budget management on projects
• Group Facilitation LLeading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem

solving activities as required, including Advance Quality Planning (AQP) process.

• Warehouse Management Systems: Knowledge of key functions and features of systems used

by, in support of solutions development, sales activities and implementations.

• Travel: Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use k knowledge, skills, and experience in support of relevant business objectives
