Accountant – Olifantsfontein – (Ref 610)

HARD SKILLS-BACKGROUND / TECHNICAL COMPETENCE:

 5 years of Accounting/ Bookkeeping experience 

 Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar

 Solid understanding of T accounts debits and credits and Account Payable / Receivable principles 

 IT knowledge:  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel

 Knowledge of Sage Evolution 

 Others:  English – Good level of English language, both written and spoken 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Update and maintain the General Ledger 

 Reconciliation of entries into Sage Evolution 

 Processing and reconciliation of Korridor Bank Accounts 

 Processing and reconciliation of Accounts Payable, when required

 Processing and reconciliation of Petty Cash/ Korridor accounts 

 Processing payments and sending proof of payments 

 Ensuring the accurate recording of variable and fixed operating expenses

 Monthly participation and verification of stationary and spare parts stock counts

 Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Manager from time to time

SOFT SKILLS- BEHAVIOURS/ PERSONAL COMPETENCES:

 Good communication and co-operation skills 

 Strong administrative skills 

 High attention to detail 

 Produce work with a high level of accuracy. 

 Manage time effectively by setting priorities through productive time management. 

 Planning and organizational skills 

 Understand financial terms in the business process. 

 Work effectively under pressure
