A brand new position has opened at our National Retail client.
The Operations and Marketing Coordinator at Company will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our sites while also developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand growth and customer engagement. This role requires a blend of operational oversight and creative marketing skills to optimize store performance and enhance the brand’s presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Coordination:
• Coordinate site roll-outs, including site selection, contract approvals, and ensuring timely setup and stock levels.
• Oversee drivers’ performance with monthly training and checks; ensure drivers are equipped and properly monitored.
• Attend site installations and launches, ensuring all marketing materials and staff training are completed prior to opening.
• Monitor and report on product quality and complaints; ensure compliance with marketing and operational standards.
• Oversee daily operational activities across assigned sites, ensuring adherence to Company standards and procedures.
• Analyse operational data and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Work with all departments effectively and efficiently to roll out projects and generate revenue.
• Conduct regular site visits using a tactical checklist to evaluate performance and implement necessary actions.
• Provide training support where needed for DFD software/systems as needed.
- Marketing Coordination:
• Develop and implement local marketing campaigns to promote Company products and drive store traffic.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment with national campaigns and brand messaging.
• Plan and execute LTOs and promotions to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
• Responsible for working with design and suppliers to roll out new print materials when needed.
• Proofing all artwork created for DFD and liaising between design and vendors to execute on brand initiatives.
• Collect and analyse customer feedback and market research to refine marketing strategies and initiatives to grow revenue.
• Serve as the primary liaison for vendor relationships for marketing initiatives.
• Identify opportunities within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry to enhance business performance.
• Create and analyse reports to support innovation and new menu development, identifying trends and insights to guide product enhancements and new offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the operations team to align marketing initiatives with operational capabilities and goals.
• Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to ensure consistency in branding and promotional activities.
• Liaise with external partners, vendors, and agencies to support marketing efforts and operational needs.
- Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare regular reports on operational performance, marketing campaign effectiveness, and customer feedback.
• Utilize data to drive decision-making and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
• Track ROI of marketing activities and provide recommendations for optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry or similar field.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions:
• Company car and phone will be provided.
• Travel between store sites.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Requirements:
• Qualifications in the marketing or related field.
• At least 2 years marketing & operations experience in mid-level to management role.
• Preferred, experience in sales, brand, category, or shopper management experience.
• Ability to foster relationships, build rapport and negotiate partnerships.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Microsoft Outlook, the Internet, and social media sites.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Have problem-solving; brand-building; marketing campaigns and research skills.
• Demonstrates curiosity. Welcomes failure as a learning opportunity.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing programmes and supporting tactics.
• Strong project management skills, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate at the ‘’lowest level of detail’’.
• Responsibilities may include additional duties beyond the specified roles.
Salary : CTC of R20,000. Per month
