Position: Project Lead – Operations Manager Commercial & Sales  – Local South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven professional to manage logistics and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive business growth.

 Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project forwarding logistics, via all major ports
• Strong commercial acumen and business development skills.
• Proactive, analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong time-management, organization, and administrative abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel and be available beyond standard office hours 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and expand the Project Forwarding division
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and profitability.
• Build and maintain strategic logistics partnerships.
• Drive business development and client acquisition.
• Oversee end-to-end project logistics for local and international cargo.
• Negotiate competitive transport and ocean freight rates.
• Identify new market opportunities to diversify service offerings.
• Serve as the primary contact for resolving operational challenges.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional and confident communicator across all platforms.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with international offices on African market opportunities.

Salary : R150k -R200k
