A well-established logistics company is seeking an experienced Operations / Sales Manager to grow and develop its George warehousing and transport operation.

This role requires a hands-on professional with strong sales ability and warehouse operations experience to drive new business while managing day-to-day logistics activities in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the George and surrounding areas

Build and maintain strong client relationships and assist with RFQs and pricing proposals

Manage daily warehouse and transport operations

Oversee inventory control, stock takes, and warehouse optimisation

Manage a small fleet of vehicles and coordinate deliveries when required

Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards

Manage warehouse staff and contract labour

Oversee operational billing, cost control, and reporting

Requirements

Grade 12

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics (advantageous)

Minimum 5 years’ FMCG experience

Minimum 5 years’ logistics experience

2+ years’ account management experience

Experience with Warehouse and Transport Management Systems

Valid forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)

Ideal Candidate

Must have lived in George for more than 10 years or have strong local knowledge of the area

Strong sales, relationship-building, and operational management skills

Good communication, organisational, and leadership abilities

Proficient in MS Office (Excel advantageous)

Willing to travel when required
