CLAIMS ASSESSOR

A well-established and growing organisation in the financial services and insurance sector is seeking an experienced Claims Assessor to join its professional claims team. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assess and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently. 
  • Verify and validate supporting documentation received. 
  • Conduct compliance and regulatory checks. 
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to obtain claim confirmations and supporting information. 
  • Maintain accurate records and update claim information on internal systems. 
  • Prepare claim correspondence and communicate outcomes to clients. 
  • Ensure claims are processed within prescribed turnaround times and insurer guidelines. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Matric (Grade 12). 
  • RE5 qualification (essential). 
  • Relevant Insurance or Wealth Management qualification. 
  • 2–5 years claims assessment or claims handling experience. 
  • Knowledge of insurance legislation and compliance. 
  • MS Office proficiency. 
  • Personal Accident  experience advantageous. 
  • Dissability experience advantageous.

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, customer service orientation, problem-solving ability, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and sound organisational skills.
