Role
- Responsible for key clients: retain and grow existing business.
- Deliver on retention and sales growth strategy for SSA & Zambia specific trade lanes.
- Develop Africa growth in cross-trade and ocean development into and out of Africa.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7-10 years’ experience within the logistics/supply chain industry.
- Prior experience with tenders within a procurement environment.
- Matric (essential).
- Proven sales figures ( new business and retention )
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Job Requirements
- Travel nationally, regionally, and internationally as required.
- Grow and Retain business – Cross Border markets: BLNE countries, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Angola, Tanzania & DRC.
- Grow and Retain business – The Company’s Africa Service trade lanes: Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi & DRC.
- Focus on Zambia markets, in particular Copperbelt.
- Ensure knowledge of regulatory compliance on key SSA trade lanes.
- Meet deadlines and influence internal stakeholders to achieve desired results.
- Create and execute sales strategies within Africa by identifying and sourcing profitable new business.
- Mitigate risk by implementing detailed projects and new business plans.
- Monthly internal reporting to all stakeholders.
- Take ownership of the tender process for all opportunities.
- Stay updated with global and country-specific developments and legislation impacting trade.
- Conduct competitor and market data analysis
- Proven track record of sales achievement and customer retention at a senior level within supply chain.
Salary offered : R56k- R68k according to experience
