 About the Opportunity

An established and innovative manufacturing and product development business is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager. The organisation operates across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to production and distribution, servicing both proprietary and client-branded product ranges.

Role Overview 

This role is focused on driving sustainable revenue growth through proactive business development, strengthening client partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s footprint by offering tailored solutions aligned to client needs and market demands.

Key Responsibilities 

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Implement and execute strategic sales and growth initiatives
• Analyse client needs and propose effective product and service solutions
• Present company capabilities and offerings to prospective clients
• Monitor industry trends and use insights to inform business strategy
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions
• Represent the business in client meetings and industry engagements

Minimum Requirements 

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Commerce or similar
• 7–10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret market trends
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, and highly motivated
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Willingness to travel as required

Salary : R55k plus Commission
