The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) leads the sales strategy and performance, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition. They align the sales team with company objectives, build a high-performance team, foster key customer relationships, and ensure efficient operations to deliver measurable results, contributing to long-term success and profitability.

Qualifications:

 Matric + Electrical Qualifications B. Tech, B.Sc

 Show Tenacity in difficult circumstances

 Accuracy in execution of tasks

 Experience 5 years of sales in the electrical environment

 External Sales experience

 Experience with South African National Standards

 Must be able to travel

 Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Available to work from 7.30am each day until 5.00pm and every second Saturday until 1pm

Key Responsibilities:

 Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, market share growth, and overall business objectives. Align sales goals with the company’s vision and market opportunities.

 Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire the sales team, including setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a performance-driven culture. Ensure that the team is well-equipped with the resources, tools, and training they need to succeed.

 Revenue Growth: Drive overall revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding into new markets or customer segments.

 Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee the development of accurate sales forecasts, monitor sales performance, and provide regular reports to the CEO and other key stakeholders.

 Customer Relationship Management: Strengthen and maintain key customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Actively engage in major negotiations and high-level sales meetings.

 Market Intelligence & Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use data-driven insights to adjust sales strategies and tactics.

 Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Operations, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and execution of cross-functional initiatives that support business growth.

 Sales Operations & Technology: Oversee the sales operations process, including CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales reporting systems. Ensure that the sales team is using the most effective technologies and methodologies to maximize efficiency.

 Performance Monitoring: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure individual and team success. Provide constructive feedback and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Additional Skills:

 Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

 Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).

 Experience with international or multi-market sales strategies is a plus.

 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
